PitchSide is a cricket scoring and team management app that helps users create teams, manage players, score matches, organize tournaments, view scorecards, and access related cricket statistics. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use PitchSide, we may collect or process the following information:

• Account information: such as your name, email address, user ID, and profile details used for sign-in and account management.
• Cricket profile information: such as player names, teams, playing roles, batting or bowling style, and other cricket-related profile details that you or other authorized users add.
• App content created by users: such as teams, players, matches, scorecards, tournaments, fixtures, invitations, scoring records, statistics, and related cricket data.
• Notifications data: such as device tokens used to send app notifications for match, team, tournament, invitation, or account-related updates.
• Subscription and purchase data: such as subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, and purchase confirmation data processed through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.
• Advertising and consent data: where ads are enabled, Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform may process advertising identifiers, consent choices, device information, and ad interaction data according to their own policies.
• Technical data: such as device type, operating system, app version, logs, crash information, and performance data, where applicable, to help maintain and improve the app.
• Support information: if you contact us, we may collect your email address and message so we can respond to your request.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide authentication and account access.
• Create, store, and display cricket teams, players, matches, scorecards, tournaments, fixtures, and statistics.
• Send important app notifications, such as invitations, match updates, and tournament-related alerts.
• Manage premium subscriptions, entitlements, restore purchases, and subscription status.
• Show ads to eligible free users when ads are enabled.
• Support rewarded ad features where users voluntarily choose to watch an ad for a one-time benefit.
• Improve app reliability, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and protect the security of the app.
• Respond to support messages and user requests.

3. Third-Party Services

PitchSide uses third-party services to operate key app features. These services may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies:

• Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, database, notifications, hosting, remote configuration, and related backend services.
• Google Play Billing: processing purchases and subscriptions on Android.
• RevenueCat: subscription entitlement management and purchase status synchronization.
• Google AdMob: ads for eligible free users where ads are enabled.
• Google User Messaging Platform: consent and privacy choices where required or available.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play. PitchSide uses RevenueCat to help verify and manage subscription status. We do not store your full payment card details. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are managed by Google Play according to Google Play policies and your Google account settings.

5. Advertising

Free users may see ads when ads are enabled. Ads may be provided through Google AdMob. Premium users should not see ads while their premium entitlement is active. Depending on your region, you may be shown consent or privacy options related to advertising. You can also manage certain ad personalization settings from your device or Google account settings.

6. Rewarded Ads

PitchSide may offer optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are user-initiated, and the related benefit is granted only after the ad reward is earned. Rewarded benefits are limited and one-time unless clearly stated otherwise in the app.

7. Notifications

We may use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications related to account activity, team invitations, match activity, tournament updates, and other app features. You can control notification permissions from your device settings.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share or process information with service providers that help us operate the app, such as Firebase, Google Play, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, and Google User Messaging Platform. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the app, users, or our rights.

9. Data Retention

User-generated cricket data, account data, and related records may remain stored while your account or app data exists, unless deleted through available app features or handled through a support request where applicable. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, operational, billing, or abuse-prevention purposes.

10. Your Choices

You may have options to:

• Update your account/profile information in the app.
• Manage notification permissions from device settings.
• Manage subscriptions through Google Play.
• Restore purchases inside the app where supported.
• Use Privacy & Ad Choices where available in your region.

11. Children’s Privacy

PitchSide is not specifically directed to children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to help protect information. However, no app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of PitchSide after changes means you accept the updated policy.
